About Us

Founded in Trinity 2014, we are here to introduce people to the sport, and to organise (heavily discounted) fishing for our members. We also have crew dates throughout the term, drinks at the end of Michaelmas and Hilary, and our May Fly Dinner at the start of Trinity term.

We usually fish for wild brown, rainbow, and sea trout, but we also run trips further afield in search of salmon, grayling and pike.

Fly fishing is a brilliant way to escape from the stresses of term. You pretty quickly forget about essay deadlines and annoying tutors once you're sitting by the river, in some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere in the country.

We are open to anglers of any level. If you have not fished before, or are looking to learn a bit more, we can arrange a free, two-hour introductory session at the Orvis store in Burford. We also have a large supply of spare kit for you to borrow.
